Authentic Italian Cuisine, and Chefs' Spring Menu
Our Porto Osteria menu and restaurant was highlighted in a recent interview with CHEK News, the Upside program (April 16th). A HUGE thank you to Ed and Jeff and the crew of Upside, CHEK. They were incredibly generous and kind, and we are overwhelmed by the many people who have called, texted, or popped in to enjoy some Authentic Italian cuisine in North Saanich.
Head chefs Graden Dej and Bo Ilies have developed a wonderful Spring Menu for you to enjoy as a Take Away or on our Marina patio.
We have quite a few new plates as well as a couple of favourites that are back for the warmer weather.
For Salads; Salad Primavera, Arugula and Endive, and keeping our Caesar and Carpaccio. Our Pasta menu brings back a lovely mint pesto on our Porto made *Corzetti, and our fresh pasta with Lemon sauce and local Spot prawns is back for the summer. New to the pasta menu is ourTomato Tortelloni, this is Tomatoes served three styles. A sun-dried and ricotta stuffed pasta, with tomatoes pan fried, all elevated in a tomato broth. An addition of Porto made Squid ink linguini with clams and mussels in a cream broth. In our Secondi course we have added Tuscan Lamb and potato stew, Ribeye Steak done in Northern Italian style, Medium Rare, and Local BC Spot Prawns.
We also have wonderful additions of Asparagus wrapped in prosciutto and Parmesan Vegetable Tian.
On our wine section we have added a magnificent Spumante Rose From Trento DOC. We have re-opened our full wine selection (with 19 wines by the glass and many more bottles to select from). In addition to wine we offer Italian and local beer, and local cider from Seacider Farm.

*Corzetti is a Northern Italy pasta, we make ours with a white wine and a red wine base. Wonderful Vegetarian dish, and the only restaurant on VancouverIsland to make and serve Corzetti. :)
